Poseidon Eirḗnē

Beneath the rumble and the roar
of the pounding surf
upon the shore,

Between the buckling, yawning pits
of the heaving
solid ground,

Beyond every mortal thought
and counted breath
of life’s short thread,

Poseidon waits
in the silence
mysteries in hand.

  1. You have an uncanny way of publishing hymns that I could be reciting as I begin the next section of the WiP I’m working on. This is beautiful.
